Gabon Passport Photos and Visa Photo Requirements – Rules, Guidelines, and Specifications

If you feel like the information on the Gabon passport photo requirements above is insufficient, we have provided more details down below. A lot of applications are rejected because of inadequate photos, and we do not want that to happen to you.

  • The background has to be plain white. It cannot have colors, patterns, or shadows on it. You could use a white wall when you take your passport photo or visa photo. If you lack such a wall, a white sheet hung on the wall will do just fine.
  • The best way to capture all your facial features is if you position your camera at eye level. Also, both sides of your face must be equally visible, which is why you should not tilt or rotate your head at all. You cannot submit a portrait-style photo as it will be rejected.
  • You cannot appear smiling in your passport photo or visa photo. Nor can you squint, frown, or raise your brows. The only acceptable facial expression is neutral. To achieve it, all you have to do is to relax the muscles of your face when taking the picture.
  • When you take your photo, look straight into the camera. Nothing can obscure your eyes. Not the frames of your glasses and not your hair. If you must wear glasses, make sure that there is no flash reflection in your picture. Sunglasses and eyeglasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable in a passport photo or visa photo.
  • When you take your picture, make sure that the lighting is just right. It cannot be too dim or too bright. The source should be right in front of you so that the light does not create shadows on your face.
  • If your religious beliefs do not allow you to keep your head uncovered, you can take the photo while wearing a veil or something of the sort. However, you have to be careful with the veil not to cast any shadows on your face. Also, your face has to be visible from the bottom of your chin to the top of your forehead.
  • If your everyday look includes a beard, you are allowed to keep it for your passport photo or visa photo. However, if you plan on making any changes to your beard, you should make them before you take your picture.

Rules and Requirements for Babies, Infants, and Newborn Passport and Visa Photos

Children are not exempt from having their own travel documents, which means that you have to get passports and visas for them too. You can take their picture with iVisa Photos as well. Just make sure to follow the tips below, in addition to the guidelines listed above.

  • The only significant difference between a child’s passport photo and an adult’s passport photo is that the child’s head can be smaller and occupy less surface in the picture.
  • Photograph your children when they are awake, even if they are young.
  • When you take the passport photo of your child in a car seat, keep in mind that you have to place a white sheet on the backrest.
  • If you want to photograph your child from above while he/she is lying on their back, you must place the baby on a white blanket or a white sheet.
  • Remove your child’s pacifier and/or hat when taking the picture.
  • Please remember that only the child can appear in the photo, even if you decide to hold him/her.
